Oooohhh Grandma!

So, today, while mum's at work she  calls me to check on how my brother and I doing at home, and she asks me if I got her e-mail, that she forwarded from my Grandma. And I was like, no, why? (I'm really bad at checking my e-mail) and she said that it was from grandma talking about my blog post from yesterday, about my writing goal, and she said that she will never tell me 'to write what you know'. Here is the full e-mail copy and pasted for you:
I’d never ever tell Alice Peeta ‘write about what you know.’ It’s a good starting point for reluctant writers or people who lack self-confidence but a fluent and imaginative writer like her would find it very restrictive. Just go for it, A P, and let your fingers fly over the keyboard.

And if your wondering why she called me Alice Peeta, Peeta is my current middle name on Facebook, because of the Hunger Games. See, whenever I change my middle name on Facebook my Grandparents call me by my first name and my facebook middle name. And when my Graddad asked why I not call myself by the Heroine's name (Katniss), I said 'Because I would date Peeta if he was a real person.'
So, they have also called me by the name of 'Alice Potter'.

So, just letting you know Grandma, I wasn't say that YOU were going to say 'write what you know' just people who read my stories in general, that is why I am so private about my writing.
Something tells me that just made no sense, and only slightly helped me get my point across.

So, just letting you guys know that I have pretty awesome grandparents, with a great sense of humour.
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDDAD!!!!!!!!!!!
He's turning 90 today. And he still plays golf and I'm pretty sure he still plays tennis when he gets the chance.
BTW I consider that picture misleading, considering I write all my stories on my laptop. But my Grandma wrote by hand.

Update: Was it Crabbe?

So you know how like AAAGGGEEESSS ago I thought maybe that guy who was stabbed outside a club was the guy who played Crabbe but it turned out it wasn't, so I thought I got the news story all wrong?
Well turned out I wasn't wrong about the news story or the fact that it was someone from the Harry Potter cast. The guy who played Crabbe is still alive, selling weed, rapping and getting arrested for participating in the London riots :B (BTW :B is bucktoothed smiley face). The guy who WAS killed was defending his brother or something and was stabbed and he was meant to be playing Marcus Belby, but apparently had JUST finished filming as the role of Marcus Belby on the sixth Harry Potter film (I forgot what character Marcus Belby was, maybe he was in the Slug Club IDK).

Well I healed surprisingly quick...

So, I don't feel that bad about finishing The Hunger Games anymore. Harry Potter took a lot longer to get used to the idea of it being over. But for The Hunger Games there are still three movies to be made. And they will come. Now I'm reading Jane Eyre, not one of the easiest books to get into. I really want to get started on The Maze Runner, but unfortunetly you can't buy it on Kindle, you can buy it on Amazon, just not on Amazon Kindle. Dumb Bums.
But it only took a good Marathon of MTV's AWKWARD. to heal me.

Apparently The Maze Runner is a bit like The Hunger Games except they have no recolection of their lives before the maze. The third book is already out and I feel so behind on the times and I hate that feeling, because I'm always one of the unlucky ones to get it. And I can't just take a simple trip down to the Library because the Library is closed on Sundays. Thank goodness for that, because I just realised I could look up (on the Library website) whether the Library even HAS The Maze Runner, wouldn't THAT have been a waste of my time!?

Sometimes I wish I could forget it all together and do it again.

And I'm not talking about regrets. The only thing I regret is not starting The Hunger Games sooner.
I wish I could read it again, which I could, but it wouldn't be the same. I would know what's happening next.
I just want to forget it all together to start the adventure all over again, the same with Harry Potter.
Personally my favourite in the series is the first book. I expected Catching Fire to be the main character (Katniss) and Peeta to be the mentors for the new tributes, and then Mockingjay to be them going back into the arena or something like that. I was wrong.
My favourite character is Prim, but I didn't realise it until the last book, when um... she... *sobs*. Okay, so I'm not entirely giving it away, but those who have read the book probably know what I'm talking about. And I made it fairly obvious, so some others might know what I mean as well.
So I thought after I finished The Hunger Games, I would read Jane Eyre since I've seen the movie.
But right now I feel like a should heal before I start reading another book. Hopefully when The Hunger Games movie comes out it is awesome and I have a tad bit of closure.

But also one thing that is really bothering me is when people go off about the 'Cast'. Like who is playing who. And I HATE that, it takes away the idea of the character being relatible. Being a real person rather that made up people, but with all this thing about the 'cast' ruins it. That's why I don't watch behind the scenes on DVD anymore. It ruins the character. The story. Think about that before you come up to me asking me about what I think of the cast and who should've played that character instead.
And I also hate it when people criticise the book/movie and how it should've been instead. NO. They worked so hard on that and you go off about how it should've been different. This especially happened with Harry Potter, but JK Rowling has had SO much say in the making of the movies, I'm pretty sure she might've been a part of or at least agreed to those changes.

Has it gone?

My love for Harry Potter?
Last night I got out of the shower and I just felt empty.
It just wasn't there.
I kept hoping and hoping it was acceptance of the "End" of Harry Potter.
But today I woke up, knew it was Sunday went back to sleep and woke up thought it was Monday.
Turned out, it was still Sunday.
Even though I said about a week ago I would never feel a closure for Harry Potter, turns out I am.
I just need to find a new good book series to get into (argh!).

PS Still trying to get onto Pottermore. But it won't let me on!
Checked my e-mail (it is the thirty-first in my country).

PSS Going to vote for Teen Choice

PSS Almost forgot

HAPPY BIRTHDAY J.K. ROWLING!!!!!

(Did it in red because Red symbolizes (mostly) 'good' in the Harry Potter series, and the red spells are the ones that helped Harry the most or Harry used the most)

Just voted!

For everything but Twilight for Teen Choice awards.
We need Harry Potter to win at least some awards.
Harry Potter has been around about thirteen years, and Twilight has only been around for six years.
And has only been well known for four years.
Create an account on that website, doesn't even take that long (I promise, I hate when people say it doesn't take that long when it does).
VOTE.
I can't vote for the MTV awards because if I go to the American MTV website, the internet will redirect me to the New Zealand MTV website, and you can't vote on the New Zealand MTV website (I think).
Harry Potter really needs support.
Harry Potter will be passed down for generations, but it won't get any more awards.
COME ON!

The Otter needs your help!

True shit:

YOUR FAN FICTIONS SUCK

I hate it when someone writes a fan fiction.
And I'm not talking about parodies (well at least not the funny ones).
I am talking about fan fictions.
They write the story the way it isn't supposed to be written.
Even though I might've liked the story line a little more like this, doesn't mean I am going to ruin something original author worked so hard on.
And also I can't help but think this is the way the story line is meant to go, so stop stuffing it up!

And you know what I hate the most?
Role plays.
Like they incorperate themselves into the story (*cough twilight cough stephenie meyer cough*).
And combine the names of other characters like "Ginny Longbottom".
WHAT? WHAT? WHAT IS THAT?

And stop putting characters together, like "dating" them together or whatever.
This character and that character and meant to date these characters!

PS I downloaded some of the Harry Potter soundtrack, like the Original theme song (first film), Dumbledore's Farewell and Lily's theme (it plays in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, when the kids are marching into the school).
I would reccomend you download the tracks you like to show your support, you shouldn't download all of them (like a twilight fan would), unless you actually like all of them.
J.K. Rowling wouldn't want you to waste your money on all of the tracks on some that you might not like but Stephenie Meyer would want you too (she likes money).

One day...

I will have a multi-storied house.
And that house will have stairs.
And under those stairs will be cupboard.
And in that cupboard will be all my Harry Potter merchindise.
Scarves, pillows, t-shirts, my wand, posters, pictures (you know from when I visit Harry Potter land) and my Hogwarts letter.
Why under the stairs?
Because that is where Harry slept and also, I want to make it to at least look like a have normal house, and I don't want it Harry Potter dedicated, my childhood is Harry Potter but it doesn't define me.

I want these, I collect badges now, and put them on the other side of my Harry Potter bag:

I want these printed onto a t-shirt:

To put on the little beddy thing in there (remember Harry had a bed he slept on?):

Potter Pictures

I do actually have more, but you have to upload the pictures separately. Which is annoying.
