Yeah, she's black. So what's the fuss all about?

In the Hunger Games Katniss becomes allies with Rue who is discribed as a girl with brown eyes and black hair. And the movie posters have just been realised and such and everyone seems so shocked that the actress is African-American and said things like 'I didn't picture her like that'. And Rue is also said to remind Katniss of her sister Prim. And everyone said, 'Oh, she isn't blond' I'm like Rue wasn't described EVER to look like Prim, she is just small like Prim is and is about Prim's age.
And I didn't picture Rue as African-American, but I also didn't picture her to have brown eyes (my brain refuses), despite it being metioned multiple times. But when I saw the trailer I was thinking 'Where's Rue? Where's Rue?' and when I saw a small girl that was African-American, I was like 'oh, that must be Rue'
and the author said that Thresh (from Rue's district) and Rue were very clear in her mind to be african-american. And they way she is described in the book, she very well could've been black. And another character Cinna is also African-American, I thought he suited the role of Cinna so well, he might as well change his name to Cinna and claim to be from the Capitol for the rest of his life, I only saw his face for five seconds in the trailer. I think they did very well with the casting, and if their hair colour was different, something they would dye it.
Although I am quite disappointed with Effie's hair (hopefully it gets crazier through out the film or something).

And I don't know if I have metioned it, but I hate talking about casting, or reading magazines that talk about casting or watching the behind the scenes or repeatedly watching the trailer because it ruins the whole idea of the character being real, they are just 2D instead of coming to life in a movie or book.
But I thought I'd talk about this, cause I mean everyone made such a big deal, IT'S JUST HER MOTHER-FREAKING SKIN COLOUR..

I nearly fainted at the hairdressers yesterday...

So, I was at the hairdressers yesterday, and the hairdresser had just given my hair a wash, and was combing it out and trimming it and stuff. But she needed me to stand up because my hair is quite long and the back of the chair was blocking it and she was doing the back of my hair so I had to like crane my neck and my back started to hurt, but I tried to ignore it, and then I started seeing coloured dots and I was like stabbing myself with my finger nails trying to get my brain to wake up or make the dizziness go away or whatever, and then I started to sway, and my hairdresser asked me if I was alright and took me outside to the courtyard that is like behind their salon and gave me a drink of water and I was trying to think of what could have caused it, I had Cheerios cereal with milk and juice that morning for breakfast a slice of raw ham and some two minute noodles. So I knew it couldn't be something I ate. And I had been pacing the street window shopping because I showed up for my appointment alittle early. So eventually my mind was back on track again and I went inside and the hairdresser just made me sit down for the rest of what she was going to do standing up. So I went home and when I got home I was all up on facebook like 'Nearly fainted at the Hairdressers today'. And I have never fainted or nearly fainted even up until yesterday so, it was quite a new experience for me. And no one  cared.
But when my mum got home she cared, and she thought it was like the bleach and other fumes that might've been around  me, and I said I didn't know what it was, but everything around me at the time of nearly fainting smelt nice.
So, ya know. New experiences.
Might as well get me a sparkly vampire boyfriend, a werewolf and call me Bella Swan.

So, after the hairdresser I went back and stuff then I started to read to my brother but my headache which was coming and going started to get really painful so I stopped (much to my brother's disappointment (not really)) and took some panadol read a bit and went to sleep.

Oooohhh Grandma!

So, today, while mum's at work she  calls me to check on how my brother and I doing at home, and she asks me if I got her e-mail, that she forwarded from my Grandma. And I was like, no, why? (I'm really bad at checking my e-mail) and she said that it was from grandma talking about my blog post from yesterday, about my writing goal, and she said that she will never tell me 'to write what you know'. Here is the full e-mail copy and pasted for you:
I’d never ever tell Alice Peeta ‘write about what you know.’ It’s a good starting point for reluctant writers or people who lack self-confidence but a fluent and imaginative writer like her would find it very restrictive. Just go for it, A P, and let your fingers fly over the keyboard.

And if your wondering why she called me Alice Peeta, Peeta is my current middle name on Facebook, because of the Hunger Games. See, whenever I change my middle name on Facebook my Grandparents call me by my first name and my facebook middle name. And when my Graddad asked why I not call myself by the Heroine's name (Katniss), I said 'Because I would date Peeta if he was a real person.'
So, they have also called me by the name of 'Alice Potter'.

So, just letting you know Grandma, I wasn't say that YOU were going to say 'write what you know' just people who read my stories in general, that is why I am so private about my writing.
Something tells me that just made no sense, and only slightly helped me get my point across.

So, just letting you guys know that I have pretty awesome grandparents, with a great sense of humour.
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDDAD!!!!!!!!!!!
He's turning 90 today. And he still plays golf and I'm pretty sure he still plays tennis when he gets the chance.
BTW I consider that picture misleading, considering I write all my stories on my laptop. But my Grandma wrote by hand.

Umm... so my brother had a allergic reaction....

My brother's face is swollen up because of an allergic reaction he had from something in the woods (my mum thinks he might've touched a plant and then rubbed his face).
And it's frikin HILARIOUS.
So, my brother went to the After Hours (it wasn't really the after hours at the time, but After Hours deals with those sort of things). And they gave him some stuff and ran a few tests.
So now he is at home, the swelling went down A BIT, but he's still swollen, and I'm probably just making him all the more misreable because I keep checking his face to see if he is back to normal again (which so far he isn't). I read him a chapter of The Hunger Games yesterday.
I wish I could show a picture, but it will probably just make him even MORE misreable.
I'll google one that is similar.
This is the most similar LEAST disgusting one I could find. BTW I went through A LOT of gross images to find an example of my brother!

Well I healed surprisingly quick...

So, I don't feel that bad about finishing The Hunger Games anymore. Harry Potter took a lot longer to get used to the idea of it being over. But for The Hunger Games there are still three movies to be made. And they will come. Now I'm reading Jane Eyre, not one of the easiest books to get into. I really want to get started on The Maze Runner, but unfortunetly you can't buy it on Kindle, you can buy it on Amazon, just not on Amazon Kindle. Dumb Bums.
But it only took a good Marathon of MTV's AWKWARD. to heal me.

Apparently The Maze Runner is a bit like The Hunger Games except they have no recolection of their lives before the maze. The third book is already out and I feel so behind on the times and I hate that feeling, because I'm always one of the unlucky ones to get it. And I can't just take a simple trip down to the Library because the Library is closed on Sundays. Thank goodness for that, because I just realised I could look up (on the Library website) whether the Library even HAS The Maze Runner, wouldn't THAT have been a waste of my time!?

Sometimes I wish I could forget it all together and do it again.

And I'm not talking about regrets. The only thing I regret is not starting The Hunger Games sooner.
I wish I could read it again, which I could, but it wouldn't be the same. I would know what's happening next.
I just want to forget it all together to start the adventure all over again, the same with Harry Potter.
Personally my favourite in the series is the first book. I expected Catching Fire to be the main character (Katniss) and Peeta to be the mentors for the new tributes, and then Mockingjay to be them going back into the arena or something like that. I was wrong.
My favourite character is Prim, but I didn't realise it until the last book, when um... she... *sobs*. Okay, so I'm not entirely giving it away, but those who have read the book probably know what I'm talking about. And I made it fairly obvious, so some others might know what I mean as well.
So I thought after I finished The Hunger Games, I would read Jane Eyre since I've seen the movie.
But right now I feel like a should heal before I start reading another book. Hopefully when The Hunger Games movie comes out it is awesome and I have a tad bit of closure.

But also one thing that is really bothering me is when people go off about the 'Cast'. Like who is playing who. And I HATE that, it takes away the idea of the character being relatible. Being a real person rather that made up people, but with all this thing about the 'cast' ruins it. That's why I don't watch behind the scenes on DVD anymore. It ruins the character. The story. Think about that before you come up to me asking me about what I think of the cast and who should've played that character instead.
And I also hate it when people criticise the book/movie and how it should've been instead. NO. They worked so hard on that and you go off about how it should've been different. This especially happened with Harry Potter, but JK Rowling has had SO much say in the making of the movies, I'm pretty sure she might've been a part of or at least agreed to those changes.
