Well I healed surprisingly quick...

So, I don't feel that bad about finishing The Hunger Games anymore. Harry Potter took a lot longer to get used to the idea of it being over. But for The Hunger Games there are still three movies to be made. And they will come. Now I'm reading Jane Eyre, not one of the easiest books to get into. I really want to get started on The Maze Runner, but unfortunetly you can't buy it on Kindle, you can buy it on Amazon, just not on Amazon Kindle. Dumb Bums.
But it only took a good Marathon of MTV's AWKWARD. to heal me.

Apparently The Maze Runner is a bit like The Hunger Games except they have no recolection of their lives before the maze. The third book is already out and I feel so behind on the times and I hate that feeling, because I'm always one of the unlucky ones to get it. And I can't just take a simple trip down to the Library because the Library is closed on Sundays. Thank goodness for that, because I just realised I could look up (on the Library website) whether the Library even HAS The Maze Runner, wouldn't THAT have been a waste of my time!?

Sometimes I wish I could forget it all together and do it again.

And I'm not talking about regrets. The only thing I regret is not starting The Hunger Games sooner.
I wish I could read it again, which I could, but it wouldn't be the same. I would know what's happening next.
I just want to forget it all together to start the adventure all over again, the same with Harry Potter.
Personally my favourite in the series is the first book. I expected Catching Fire to be the main character (Katniss) and Peeta to be the mentors for the new tributes, and then Mockingjay to be them going back into the arena or something like that. I was wrong.
My favourite character is Prim, but I didn't realise it until the last book, when um... she... *sobs*. Okay, so I'm not entirely giving it away, but those who have read the book probably know what I'm talking about. And I made it fairly obvious, so some others might know what I mean as well.
So I thought after I finished The Hunger Games, I would read Jane Eyre since I've seen the movie.
But right now I feel like a should heal before I start reading another book. Hopefully when The Hunger Games movie comes out it is awesome and I have a tad bit of closure.

But also one thing that is really bothering me is when people go off about the 'Cast'. Like who is playing who. And I HATE that, it takes away the idea of the character being relatible. Being a real person rather that made up people, but with all this thing about the 'cast' ruins it. That's why I don't watch behind the scenes on DVD anymore. It ruins the character. The story. Think about that before you come up to me asking me about what I think of the cast and who should've played that character instead.
And I also hate it when people criticise the book/movie and how it should've been instead. NO. They worked so hard on that and you go off about how it should've been different. This especially happened with Harry Potter, but JK Rowling has had SO much say in the making of the movies, I'm pretty sure she might've been a part of or at least agreed to those changes.

Alice you're an idiot: 1) You're in "love" with John Tyree and 2) You're in "love" with Peeta and 3) They're both fictional!

The Hunger Games are really good.
Didn't tell you that I convinced my mum into buying it on kindle did I?
Totally in love with Peeta so far. Just passed the bit with the interviews, and that's when I fell in "love" with him. For people who have read at least the first book will understand what I'm talking about.

As predicted....

I finished Dear John.
In one day.
Didn't really like the ending, but I didn't cry either.
The ending was going to be disappointing either way.
Now I have nothing to read.
And by the way, it didn't drag on for too long...
Apart from the prologue......
This is awkward and I am bored.

Miniscule Library Haul

Lately the library has a lot of the books on my Books "I need to read" List.
So I only got Dear John.
Even though my friend told me to read that one on the list last because apparently it drags on for really long.

                                                                       Dear John:

If I finish this really early, I'll probably ask mum to buy me the cheapest book from my list on Kindle.

Book review: Annexed

It was really good.
I think I have bit of a creepy crush in Peter van Pels now (Anne Frank change their family's last name, because if the war ended she would want them to be safe, she wrote their last name as: van Dann.).
But I finished it within two days of reading it, and since the library had all the other books I wanted on Loan or they were impossible to find (even by the librariann), I was bored for the rest of my week.
I'm probably going to the library today, if not today, tomorrow.
If they do not have what I want, I'll ask my mum if I could buy a few books on my computer (thanks to Kindle).

Some books I would be more than happy to be sent to a book burner

Number one on the list Twilight (of course).
The second one is Infinite Days
The third one is Possessions.
And the fourth one is The Book of Tomorrow.
What can I say she nearly gets some guy arrested, and the last words she said to her dead father was "I hate you!".
And then the other books are just Jaqueline Wilson books I just don't like her style in writing, and still people insist on giving me Jaqueline Wilson for my birthday!
Just finished The Carrie Diaries, liked that one. Will be returning The Book of Tomorrow and The Carrie Diaries to the Wellington City library on Saturday, and get out some more books on my "I need to read" list.

Confession: I'm a bookworm

Yes it's true. But I would've thought after all these blog post after blog post you would know.

And I just finished reading Harry Potter and Philosophers Stone (I have no idea why I was reading it, just for old times sake I guess(?)).
I realised I don't want to read the whole series over again, not that I'm tired of it, but I already know everything off by heart. If I was reading it for the second or third time it'll be different.
But now I have nothing to "read me to sleep" tonight (if you know what I mean(?)).
I have been thinking I should read the Hunger Games, apparently they're really good, but I don't know how long the series is or even which one is the first in the series or even where to get them for a start. I don't feel like reading the rest of Maximum Ride series.

I've tried looking up book suggestions online but they were mainly like life essentials to read.
For example; To kill a Mockingbird, I'm sorry but I don't see that book as interesting, don't care what you say, you have your opinion I have mine, leave it.

I've looked on chat rooms/discussions on a website I know (elleandblair.com look it up), but they were already like Harry Potter; Hunger Games, Vampire Diaries, Twilight (*gag*), etc, etc.

I'm just not in the mood for any Vampire books, and Vampire Academy just looks like a vomit marathon waiting to happen inside my stomach/mouth.

I've read all the Shopaholics.

And I'm not really in the mood for books about Angels, forbidden love and a load of useless Damsel in Distresses (Fallen put me off that one, but Twilight already made it clear Damel in Distress is no fun to read).

So basically I wrote this blog post to complain about how no book will ever be good enough for me.
"Why did you do that to us Alice?"
No idea. Sorry Forum.

I've just realised what a picky bitch I am about books.

Maybe I should read City of (insert object here, I have no idea what the first book is).
Or Hunger Games.......
